In building its infrastructure and network, QuickNet Com is partnering with Canadian-based technology provider 724 Solutions Inc. The services, including SMS, are carried-out at high speed using the company's leased lines to major mobile operators.
"If there is a requirement or demand for foreign mobile operators (via the gateway providers), the company will provide such service," he said during a Press briefing.
MobileExec offers executive messaging application services and enterprise messaging application services. Executive messaging is a prepaid service that offers features like sending messages to individuals or groups, message status, alerts and time delayed SMS for sending personal reminders at a specific time.
The services which are Web-based allow users to sign-up, pay and top-up their accounts through the Internet.

If the recipient is required to reply from the MobileExec inbox, just key in the short code such as "3388" for Celcom. This identifies the mobile operator's SMS centre. The user needs to type a special code such as "000" to indicate which service he or she is using. For example, "000" means replying to the sender's account inbox or "001" means replying to the sender's mobile device.
Other services in the pipeline include sending SMS from server to mobile and vice-versa (before June this year), multi-way SMS, mobile payments and multi-user account management system. These applications are expected to be available in six to nine months' time.
